How do I reset my password? Print

  • 0

If you've forgotten your password — or you'd just like to set a new one — the process takes a couple of minutes.

I'm signed out and can't get in

  1. Go to portal.flashcloud.com/login.
  2. Click Forgot your password?
  3. Enter the email address on your account.
  4. Check your inbox (and spam folder) — we'll send a reset link within a minute.
  5. Click the link. It opens a page where you set a new password.
  6. Sign in with your new password.

The reset link is valid for 30 minutes. If it expires before you use it, just request another one.

I'm signed in and want to change my password

Go to Account → Profile and use the Change password button. Enter your current password and a new one twice. Done.

Changing your password while signed in signs you out of all other devices — useful if you're worried about an old session somewhere.

"I didn't get the reset email"

Try this checklist:

  • Spam folder — check it. The email comes from noreply@flashcloud.com.
  • Right email address? Make sure you typed the email associated with your Flashcloud account. If you're not sure which one that is, see How to sign in for tips.
  • Wait a few minutes — most providers deliver instantly, but corporate spam filters sometimes hold messages for review.
  • Try again — click "Forgot your password?" once more. The previous link will be invalidated; the new one will work.

"The reset link doesn't work"

A few reasons this happens:

  • It expired. Request a fresh one — old links are invalidated when you ask for a new one.
  • You clicked it from a different browser than where you opened it. The link is portable; copy it from the email and paste into the browser you want to use.
  • You already used it. Reset links are single-use. Once you've set a new password, the link no longer works.

"I don't have access to the email anymore"

If your account email is one you can no longer access (changed jobs, lost the address, etc.), the password reset flow can't help you because we send the link there.

In that case, open a ticket — we'll verify your identity through other means (recent invoice numbers, payment method last-4, account history) and update the email on your account so you can use the reset flow.

What makes a good password?

  • At least 12 characters. Longer is better.
  • Unique to Flashcloud. Don't reuse passwords from other sites.
  • A password manager makes this easy. 1Password, Bitwarden, the iCloud Keychain, all good.

If you turn on two-factor authentication on top of a strong password, your account is in great shape.
